Trilogy and its network of pool builders are taking a fresh approach to fiberglass pool design.  We dared to ask, if composite manufacturing offered so many advantages such as low maintenance, durability, no long-term maintenance, and comfort, why hasn't the percentage of installed fiberglass pool grown significantly? After 7 years of intense research and interviews with many of the nation’s top pool builders, we found the answer. Design, or more precisely, lack of design.  You see, what the fiberglass niche has been doing for 40 years is giving customers, like you, a "size and shapes" brochures and you were asked to just “pick one.”  That doesn't make fiberglass pool builders designers, it make them order-takers. 

While it may seem reasonable to just pick out a shape from a large lineup, the question remains:  when are your primary focal point to ever be directly from above your pool?  More importantly,  Is the pool shape the most important element in creating a backyard oasis?  We believe this size and shape approach fails to capture the one thing you as a customer want - assistance designing your backyard. One additional issue is that what looks great in the backyard, doesn’t necessarily fit within the limits the Department of Transportation places on us for shipping down the highway to your home. 

Within these design constraints, our goal was to create a pool that looked as good as the BEST concrete pools and quite frankly we thought many of the existing white bathtubs being sold, were just ugly. We were not striving to be as good as a concrete pool, we knew composite pools could be better. Trilogy wanted a line of beautiful pools with fresh designs that were not constrained by D.O.T. rules. We also wanted to capture all of the low maintenance benefits of composite construction with some of the amazing features found in concrete.
